Lukmani Paint traces its roots to a single retail shop opened in 1975 — and has grown into a national manufacturer without losing the accountability that started it.
In 1975, Mr. M. K. Mulani, a science graduate, opened a small paint retail shop with a simple aim — sell paint he would be willing to put on his own walls. Working the counter himself, he built a reputation for straight advice and consistent quality in a market where both were rare.
A decade on, his two sons brought that same discipline into manufacturing. In 1985, the family business expanded beyond retail into production, setting up multiple manufacturing units across the country and turning a neighbourhood paint shop into an emerging national brand.
Today, Director Mr. N. K. Mulani and his leadership team oversee the overall business — from formulation and manufacturing to sales, admin and customer support — while holding onto the founding principle: never compromise on what goes into the tin.
Mr. M. K. Mulani, a science graduate, opens a small paint retail shop — the starting point of the Lukmani Paint story.
His two sons expand the business, setting up multiple manufacturing units across the country and moving the family into full-scale paint production.
Manufacturing operations run from Virar, Maharashtra and Dahej SEZ, Gujarat, with Director Mr. N. K. Mulani and a specialised leadership team steering the business.
Lukmani Paint continues expanding capacity and reach in pursuit of its long-term vision.
We are building Lukmani Paint into a globally recognised name in paint and coatings manufacturing — measured not only by scale, but by the consistency of every batch we produce.
Every product that leaves our manufacturing units is held to one mission: deliver paint that performs, protects and lasts — for every customer, in every market we reach.
Every formulation is tested and standardised before it leaves our manufacturing units — quality is never the variable we adjust.
The same straightforward advice Mr. M. K. Mulani gave across his shop counter in 1975 still defines how we deal with customers today.
From homeowners to industrial buyers, every product decision starts with what the end customer actually needs on the surface.
We continue to expand our decorative and industrial range, adapting formulations to new applications and surfaces.
We work toward safer, more environmentally responsible formulations across our decorative product lines.
Two manufacturing units and seven branch offices ensure consistent supply, wherever our customers are based.
